"Very racist rude drugged out employees"
I applied for a. Phone I have medical and food stamp.the white woman heavy set and acne also smelled weird with a dirty tommy hill figer shirt was very rude and wouldn't give me a lap top after letting another white person who was not there before me cur in front and processed her and approved a crackhead for a phone
then she ran my personal info and said I'm" too black to get a phone" at this time"and thought I did not hear her. This happened near 24 street Bart station
Today, 5/7/23 and her "husband" was racist as well trying to start a fight and then cowering away and making it seem as if I started it.the lady said I'm to black for a phone she should. Be fired.zero stars and if somebody does something with my info.it's on.

"Scam of a government program"
I called to transfer my old number to a replacement phone and was told that I could not authenticate the account, because they could not verify the email on file or the recent numbers attached the account. It appears that these are scammers gathering information from people who are vulnerable. I'm going to contact the media and the better business bureau in order to report them. People need to be cautious with these scam programs.

"Stupid"
So I first Signed Is up for safe link in 2020 sent me a good phone and I thought service was great Until someone stole my phone and I had to get a replacement from safe link they sent me a horrible phone that won't charge I've been on the phone with them 4 times and they keep telling me They will call me back yet I have no phone for them to call me back on because it's dead and won't charge. Are safe link workers that stupid

"Crap Company Getting Over On Consumers"
Shut the whole company down! Terrible service from the phone all the way to customer service. A bunch of rude azz reps who hang up on you instead of resolving issues. They won't put a supervisor, or manager in the phone either. SafeLink knows this and doesn't care. A bunch of foreigners, with the audacity to treat consumers this way, the company should not even exist! Shut them downnnn! Do not do business with this company for your own good, and peace of mind.

"The WORST Company"
I have had this service for a year now. Got it back in 2022. I have the Lifeline ACP Program with unlimited data. Not 25GB. The truly unlimited plan, there was a limited offer to get unlimited high speed data (no cap), call, and text + 5GB Hotspot. Every month...every single month since I've had this service, my service will not auto refill like it should. So I've had to ruin my mental health at the beginning of every month to get someone who will transfer me to corporate since they are the only ones who will fix it and even then, they hit you with the "You have to have an alternate line" nonsense to fix the current line that I have and YOU CAN'T GET ANOTHER LIFELINE PHONE OR THEY SHUT THE CURRENT ONE OFF. It is MORONIC to have a policy saying you have to have an alternate line to have your service fixed. ESPECIALLY since it's a lie. Usually after hours of having to hang up on ignorant individuals who refuse to listen or claim you have to go through the basic troubleshooting steps before transferring or claiming they can't transfer me to corporate without an alternate line or getting transferred...and then the supposed CORPORATE PROFESSIONALS tell you the same thing and hang up on you. It takes hours to find the perfect combination of people to fix your issue. But that's not only it, my # got changed without a word. No reason, just randomly out of the blue. Now I can't make phone calls, only can use text and data on top of having to have them fix my service every month so I don't lose my job. Then it limits my data to a slow connection IMMEDIATELY so I have to call AGAIN and go through the grueling process because the idiots who sent me the sim card forgot to set my account to refresh my data balance every month. It's bugged to the point where at the beginning of every month, it says I've used 1953GB of data right when it refreshes and immediately slows my service down to such a crawl, I can barely load a web page. I have to call them tomorrow again to fix THIS issue. They have the worst customer service on planet Earth. I don't care if it's free at this point, I have NEVER dealt with this in my life. The only reason I haven't dropped this service yet is because when the high speed data IS working when they fix that issue every month, it works great and I can get my tasks done. If you have mental health issues, stay away, they will make you so worried, anxious, and angry by the time it's over that you'll have actual psychological damage. I had to beg one corporate employee to fix it so I didn't lose my job considering I have to have internet for it but I can't afford a phone of my own because of inflation and bills. WORST. DO NOT USE. DEFINITELY DO NOT PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE EITHER. It's one thing if it's free but do NOT pay for this, ANY OTHER COMPANY IS BETTER. You can tell them a thousand times that you've been helped by corporate without having an alternate line and they will argue with you till their face is blue. If like me, this is your only option. Here are some steps to get your service working if it's not:

1. Connect to an agent
2. Explain you need to be transferred to corporate and you have done the basic troubleshooting many times.
3. If they refuse, hang up and repeat 1 and 2.
4. Once someone with a brain finally connects you, you have to VERY CLEARLY explain your problem or else they won't understand at all. It's amazing how many times I've had to repeat myself to them.
5. If Corporate refuses and says you need to have an alternate line, repeat all 4 steps till you can get to another corporate employee that doesn't require you to have an alternate line.
6. Hope and pray this person knows what they're doing and you don't have to call back or receive a call back. If they don't fix it, you have to repeat every step above.This could take hours or a couple days at max of calling nonstop. Sometimes might even happen on the first call.

95% of the employees are uninterested in actually getting the problem fixed and more concerned with rushing through troubleshooting to get you off the phone just to make you repeat the process all over again. They are also incredibly rude and dismissive. They don't have any listening skills and they don't listen to any customers, they just babble on about fake protocols. If that really was the protocol to have an alternate line, why would you offer a free service that requires you to have ONE line? Because if you apply for another ACP program, it automatically cancels your previous. Do NOT listen when they tell you this because it is a lie and many have fixed my issues without needing an alternate line or having to shut the phone off and turn it back on again.

Overall, stay away unless it's ABSOLUTELY your last choice. I would stay away but no other company offers the ACP program higher than 25GB of High Speed Data and I need the unlimited high speed data for my job. Not worth the suffering otherwise.

"Pure de stupid."
Canceled my acp application without telling me, gave me a MINUTE plan w/out telling me. Now I have no minutes.I have NO PHONE. Customer service tells me to re-apply for the acp plan again. I just hung up the dam phone. I couldnt deal with it.

Ordered a phone 2-3-23 been jerked around every since. Called 25 times each time they got it fixed. Sent 2 tracking num8and neither one works. Poor customer service all the way around. Just straight up liars. Still no phone.

"Valerie #05987 deserves praise and a raise"
They disconnected my service and I experienced a week-long nightmare for something very simple. Finally, a representative named Valerie # 05987 rescued me. She actually took some initiative and fixed my problem in transferring to another service. I was quite angry at the time, but her people skills and initiative calmed me down immediately. There is nowhere to leave a direct compliment for her on Safelink, so I will send them a written statement. I pray she gets recognized for her efficiency and skill.

"Been waiting SIX MONTHS for them to add us to selected Lifeline/ACP plan!"
Have called consistently for months, sometimes several days in a row, to get their supposed advertised 25GB/month high speed data free plan with the Lifeline/ACP program. Just to get that department is difficult (first responders try to block connection) but then no matter how many hours we spend on the phone with them they keep assuring us that it will be done "within 24-72 hours" (system glitch lasting months and never fixed). They keep saying our registration number has not been "attached" but then never is and we call back over and over -- rinse and repeat. Still trying since late August (now early February)!

They advertise the most attractive Lifeline/ACP plan (formerly thru sister company StraightTalk) but then don't deliver. We are trying to get back $100 we should not have had to pay to receive data due to their failure to activate plan as promised! Will try to pursue and file complaint with Federal government Lifeline/ACP program. If they cannot deliver they should NOT advertise, as that is fraud -- maybe even intentional "bait & switch".

"Absolutely horrible service"
No one seems to care about resolving your phone issues. They tell you to reboot the phone. Problems don't get resolved. Got hung up on a few times. They talk over and interrupt you. Rude and unprofessional

"WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER"
Worst customer service. Requested phone replacement that was free because my screen was fully broken. Never received. Called several times for over a month. Still No solution & no phone.

Customer service told me I do not have to return old device & I could throw it away.

Now they are stating they have to receive broken phone back or I have to buy another one.

You can request a supervisor or someone higher up but they will not get you to a Person. They will either hang up or continue to tell you they have been trained to handle this situation.

"No service"
I been with the company only a few months and things were going well. Going well until I used all my data minutes for the month after that all hell broke loose. My plan gets switch to lifeline and I am on acp. I didn't change it. So now I only have like 1000 talk minutes and 4gb of data, when before I had unlimited talk,txt and 25gb of data and 5 gb of hotspot data. I been without service basically since the first of 2023. I am calling in with my concerns they are telling me ok wait three days and they will resolve this for you. So I call in three days and they can not resolve it so they tell me to call in another three days and it will be looked at. It's day two right now. I will call again tomorrow and hopefully things will be back to normal. You wouldn't believe the excuses SafeLink rep came up with. They telling me I need to recertify but I only been with the company for three months ...lol then they told me I been released from the program and I called acp and I am still a member. Everytime I call it takes at least 10 minutes to get to the correct person. I been calling back and forth so much to SafeLink. I know there whole greeting and the things they will say. Now don't get me wrong it's not the rep fault. They are only doing what they was trained to do And say. I will tell you it's a headache tho. My plan has been switched by who knows who and it's was easy to do but to get it back it's like pulling teeth at the dentist. It's always like that. I know this is a free deal and I am happy to be in the program or am I? I have been without service for almost 2 weeks...crazy

“They have a phone number but it will take you to Tracfone c/s first. If you need to speak with a Safelink person, you must ask to talk to them otherwise the Tracfone people will keep telling you they can take care of it. 1-800-378-1684”

“100% legit company, you just have to apply for it & get approved. From my understanding, it's another state funded phone but every state has it (so maybe it's government funded) but you just have to make sure you enroll wherever you live & if you move out of state you must inform them. Many people qualify, you should check it out, the free phones aren't much but hey if you qualify it's a FREE phone & either totally free service or majorly discounted!”
